Brief History
Joined the Revenue back in September 2000 A Millennium Occasion.
But six months in, I had the misfortune of being outed by a manager in an office full of staff, so I contacting the PCS union for advice. They had no LGBT Rep in place and reluctant to give advice, but then had the cheek to ask if I would take on the roll of branch Rep, so I agreed to do so. Two years on I became the elected Proud Rep for Wales. As National Rep for Wales my remit is for 149 government branches throughout Wales.
Since becoming Rep I have been involved in many projects.
Civil Partnerships, Goods & Services, Equality Bill, Free prescriptions in Wales, HIV & AIDS Education in Welsh schools, Sex & Relationships Education for schools, Health & Education for aging LGBT people in Wales, Equality LGBT Rights in Wales. Health and Safe Well being by South Wales Police for LGBT people. Community projects with the gay pubs & clubs in Wales.
Working with the Ministers in the Welsh Assemble, Cardiff Council, Safer Wales Team, THT Cymru. Stonewall Cymru, Wales TUC LGBT Committee member, Wales TUC Disability Forum member, Wales PCS LGBT Forum, Wales PCS Disability Forum, South Wales Police IAG committee.& Community group member.

We always have a Proud stall at Cardiff Mardi Gras and many events throughout the year.
Our Main aim is to bring LGBT issues and needs to the fore in Wales by lobbying ministers and working with local groups and the Welsh Assemble to create a safer comfortable life style on such issues as employment, health, education and housing. Working along side the EHRC to look at improvements they can bring to the LGBT people in Wales. Since the age of 18 I have worked with LGBT help lines and setting up LGBT Call in centres
As for me, among other things I’m a Celtic boy.
Father was Scottish My Mother Irish My Grandmother Welsh.
Partnered for past six years to a guy in London “our kids” consist of one cat and two dogs and fifty goldfish.
Hobbies, varied from DIY to Sugar Craft.
Holidays in the USA and Spain.
Music ABBA, well I was an eighties disco dancing queen what else! Films. Anything from Philadelphia, Star Wars, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings of course.
Love living in Wales been here over 30 years beautiful country and people. I call this place my home.
