Hello Cheesy

I have been reading through the other sections in the forum and I have noticed that the West Midlands group are possibly meeting the East Midlands group.  I assume it is so that members can meet each other?

I wondered if 'we' (the South Coast) could do something similar?  Maybe meet up with the London lot?

Do 'we' (the South Coast) have meets?  If so where?  If not, why?  How many of us are there?  Sorry if I am asking things that have been answered before but I have not noticed them.

I think I personally would like to get involved in more rather than just waiting for a newsletter.

I was at London Pride and did meet some of the Reps.   yahoo smiley  Actually I took all the photos for Proud at Pride and at the TUC conference.  They were a really enjoyable couple of days.  There are a couple of other events I will hopefully be photographing too.  If the South Coast has some events - then I am more than willing to come along and take the pictures ensuring that we get great coverage and maybe some articles in the newsletter.

What do you think?

Proud SE socials would be nice :-)

I have to confess I have tended to avoid Pride for the last few years - we actually drove a float for 2003-2007 but the last couple of Prides we've just sat things out for various reasons.

Driving a float must have been great fun!!  It's great to be a part of things like that.  Where did you get the float from?  I bet it took a long time setting it all up.

Maybe we don't all need to just meet at Prides.  Maybe something else could be done.

We drove the float for Brightwaves MCC Brighton, we just hired the lorry (my partner Angie is an HGV1 driver) and the church did the rest (e.g. decoration). It took most of the Friday to set it up! Half an hour to strip it afterwards.

If Proud ever want to do a float, let us know Smiley

It takes long enough to lay a table for Christmas Dinner yet alone design a float!!  LOL I bet it was a buzz.  It does sound like fun!
