Training Events - Advanced

Proud's 'Advanced Training' event, aims to take over where the basic course left off, this time focussing on on getting LGBT people more involved with the PCS and it's policy making.

To do this, the event has a number of workshops. While the basic event workshops are about self expression and discovery, the advanced event has a more varied structure:

The structure of the PCS - how it works and how you fit in.
PCS policy on LGBT issues.
Dealing with the official side on LGBT issues - including mock debate.
Motion writing skills.
How to get your motion to conference.
Conference speaking skills.
Mock conference.

Delegates are encouraged to think about their own experiences and use them in their work. This way, we hope to arm our members so that should they or others they know face similar events in the future, they will now be able to handle them with confidence.
